The Gwinnett Lions Rugby Club is in the early stages of building a Youth Rugby Program, and parent involvement will play a key role in helping it grow. We are looking for parents who are interested in volunteering to help coach, assist with player registration, support recruiting efforts, and help organize youth events. Even small contributions of time and support can make a big difference as we work to build a strong foundation for youth rugby in our community. With the help of dedicated parents and families, we can create a safe, organized, and fun environment where young athletes can learn the game and enjoy the sport of rugby.
Parents who want to get involved in the early stages of developing a youth side, please contact Courtland Smith.

Playing rugby offers a myriad of physical, mental, and social benefits that make it a compelling and rewarding sport. Firstly, rugby is an excellent full-body workout that enhances cardiovascular fitness, strength, agility, and endurance. The dynamic nature of the game ensures that players engage in a variety of movements, contributing to overall fitness levels. Additionally, rugby promotes teamwork and camaraderie, as players work together towards common goals, fostering a strong sense of community.
Mentally, rugby challenges players to think strategically, make split-second decisions, and develop problem-solving skills. It instills discipline, resilience, and mental toughness, as players navigate the physical demands and unpredictability of the game. Moreover, rugby encourages a sense of fair play, sportsmanship, and respect for opponents, building character both on and off the field.
Beyond the physical and mental aspects, rugby provides a unique social environment. The sport often creates lasting friendships and a strong sense of belonging within a team. The shared experiences, challenges, and victories contribute to the formation of a tight-knit community. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a newcomer, playing rugby can be a transformative and enriching experience that goes beyond the boundaries of the game itself.
