This year, the Gwinnett Lions’ 7s program will look very different from previous seasons. As Courtland Smith completes his first official year as Head Coach, both he and the club are turning the page from the 15s season and shifting full focus toward an exciting and ambitious 7s campaign. With major announcements on the horizon, the Lions are setting the stage for a new chapter of growth and opportunity.

In 2025, the Gwinnett Lions will field more than just one or two 7s squads. The club plans to expand to three competitive 7s teams: Men’s, Women’s, and a U23 side, creating more pathways for development and higher-level competition across the program.
